Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University.
Currently, I am working at an internship with Sherwin-Williams in Little Rock, Arkansas which is a Fortune 500 Company. The internship is for sales and management. This is a great opportunity for me and will lead me to my future plans of being a sales representative for a company.
How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?
The Rankin College of Business is preparing me by teaching me about specific programs and computer systems, for example, Tableau, Excel, and S.A.P. I have also learned about proper etiquette in the business world. Rankin College of Business has also prepared me for the internship by teaching me self-confidence and teaching me to say my ideas.
What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?
My favorite course was Macroeconomics with Dr. Logan because of her unique way of explaining economics. I connected with her and her style of teaching. Dr. Logan explained a very frustrating subject to me and made the subject easy.
Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?
My favorite memory is getting to know my classmates and creating friendships. I admire my other classmates and take notes on their dedication.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business?
My advice to a student coming in is to never give up and to always put your best foot forward. The professors will see your efforts if you try, and you will always receive what you deserve. Be confident in your abilities.
