Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University.
After graduating from Southern Arkansas University, I plan on furthering my education and getting my master’s in Supply Chain Management. I am also looking for an internship somewhere local.
How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?
My experiences in the RCB have prepared me for my professional career by making me better at working in a group with others. The RCB has also prepared me by showing that plans do not always go as planned in everyday work.
What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?
Statistical analysis 1 and 2 have been my favorite courses so far. This is because I have always been good at math and this class focuses more on the analytical part of any job. I absolutely fell in love with it. After taking this course I changed my major from accounting to Supply Chain Management.
Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?
My favorite RCB memory with the faculty and fellow students would have to be when PBL went to Chicago for nationals and we got to go sightseeing around Chicago. My favorite memory of that trip would actually have to be the day before some of us had to take our tests and just stayed in the room and played slap jack on the ironing board in the middle of the hotel room.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business?
Some advice I would offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the RCB would be to not be afraid of talking to your fellow classmates when you are having trouble. Also do not be afraid to talk to your professors about anything; they will not get angry if you just get to know them a little bit.
