Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University.
Upon graduation, I plan to seek a job in banking or insurance sales. Eventually, I would like to get a certified general appraiser license.
How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?
The Rankin College of Business has prepared me in many ways for my professional career. My experiences here have strengthened my social as well as professional skills. I have made lifelong friends as well as valuable connections.
What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?
Quantitative Analysis 1 with Ms. Givens was my favorite course I have taken in the RCB. Ms. Givens has the ability to take instructional information that would otherwise seem bland and turn it into a problem that has real life application.
Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?
I remember locking myself in the University Hall study room with my best friend and studying for Dr. Warrick’s Accounting 2 exam. 4 hours later, something clicked and we finally understood the material.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business?
Take the opportunities that are presented to you and make the most of them. Also, get to know your professors personally. We are blessed to have such personable staff members at the RCB, and that isn’t something to take for granted.
