How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?
My experiences in the Rankin College of Business have prepared me technically and behaviorally for my professional career. Also, the RCB grew my ability to effectively communicate, analyze information, and work in group settings. Communication skills, analytical skills, and teamwork are valuable to any job I end up doing.
What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?
My favorite courses have been Advanced Financial Management and Managerial Economics. Not only are they my favorite because they had great professors teaching them, I also really enjoyed the subject matter. The subject matter of these two classes excited me for a future career in corporate finance.
Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?
One of my favorite memories with the Rankin College of Business faculty and fellow students was Trivia Night at Mulekick last school year. There were lots of laughs and light-hearted competitive banter between the faculty and students.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business?
I would tell them to ask lots of questions and be open to visiting a teacher during their office hours. The professors at SAU truly want to see you succeed, so you should not be afraid to ask them for advice or help.
