Ms. Kristen Cribb
Kristen Cribb recently joined the faculty of the David F. Rankin College of Business at SAU as an Instructor of Marketing. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Entrepreneurial-Finance in 2016 and Master of Business Administration emphasizing in Social Entrepreneurship in 2018 from Southern Arkansas University. Previously, she worked at the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center for four (4) years. During this time, she worked with a variety of small businesses across nine counties in south Arkansas to start and grow.
In 2019, she earned the Economic Development Finance Professional with an emphasis on Business Credit Analysis certification from the National Development Council. To earn the certification, Cribb completed a rigorous, three-course training series and passed examinations of each course. The training covered economic development finance practices, basic and advanced business credit, loan packaging procedures, deal structuring techniques, and complex financial issues.
Cribb is not only dedicated to the small business community, but she also has a heart for the students of Southern Arkansas University. This led her to move roles and become a university professor. Cribb is committed to providing all students with opportunities to be successful, both in college and in their future careers.
Cribb has been married to her husband, Tyler, for almost five (5) years. They recently welcomed a baby girl, Sayler Elisabeth-Kay or “Bug”, on May 17, 2021. Cribb is also the parent to two (2) Labrador retrievers, Tripp and Journey, and two (2) cats, Wesley and Abby. In her spare time, Cribb enjoys visiting local fairs and festivals and grilling out on the weekends.
