Become a Educator at SAU
The Department of Teacher Education prepares educators who inspire students, value the uniqueness of all learners and are dedicated to transforming lives for a better tomorrow. Our degrees meet the requirements for teacher licensure in Arkansas.
We offer flexible pathways and multiple licensure options so you can put what you learn into practice right away through hands-on classroom experiences. Every candidate completes a year-long residency, with several paid pathways available.
All licensure programs at SAU are currently pursuing national accreditation by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). A decision is scheduled in November 2025.
