The web staff of University Communications & Marketing strives to maintain a modern, usable website with administrative tools that empower faculty and staff to generate and share content with ease. While the managing a website is naturally a technical exercise, it is our goal to enable even the most novice user to manage their departmental website. Learn more about the SAU website, the site’s structure, and how faculty and staff can become involved.
Far and away the most common form of support provided to faculty and staff is desk-side coaching. Whether it is initial training on how to log-in, to troubleshooting a technical problem, or consulting about potential features, the web staff is available to meet with you in person. Contact Josh Jenkins or Jeremy Langley to learn more.
Occasionally the web staff holds open hands-on training. Covering topics such as form management, working with media files, and basics for beginners, upcoming training events will be posted to the University calendar or through the Academy of Professional Development.
In effort to provide a growing resource library to web editors, the web staff records and publishes tutorial videos covering a wide range of topics and skill levels. Tutorials are posted inside of the WordPress dashboard in the left hand menu, as well as publicly online. Watch tutorial videos now.
