Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University.
I plan to find a job/internship that is related to securities or the financial aspect of an organization. For the most part, I want to continue growing and developing myself as an individual.
How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?
I believe that RCB is constantly giving students opportunities to experience and learn new things to prepare us for our professional careers.
What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?
I thoroughly enjoyed Managerial Economics and Advanced Financial Management. Both of those classes are math-focused which I enjoyed. Managerial Economics was not as straightforward in its math problems, which made solving them more rewarding.
Have you been involved in any of the RCB’s special programs?
I’ve been involved in BSAC, Mulerider Sense, FBLA, and BSIAC. I’ve enjoyed being a member in all of them and would love to continue being part of them. I enjoy BSIAC the most because our decisions to buy and sell stock matter and they aren’t just an investment simulator.
Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?
As it was the most recent event, I remember the Christmas party that FBLA hosted. It was fun and very enjoyable.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business?
Do not try to take shortcuts early. If you do that, you’ll find the higher-level classes to be much easier.
