Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Beta Gamma Sigma was founded in 1913 and chartered on the Southern Arkansas University campus in 2006. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
Only those students enrolled in business programs at schools accredited by AACSB International may join Beta Gamma Sigma. To be eligible for invitation, students must be:
- second-semester sophomores and rank in the upper 10 percent of their class;
- upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class; or
- upper 20 percent of master’s classes.
Beta Gamma Sigma is not a fraternity, sorority, or student club. It is an organization that recognizes academic excellence in business studies.
