Janell Morton, Center Director, joined the ASBTDC at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, David F. Rankin College of Business in September of 2017. She previously served the University as Coordinator of the Golden Triangle Economic Development Council.Morton spent 10 years as Accounting and Human Resources Manager for one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals companies. She also has community banking experience that includes lending and disaster recovery planning. She grew up working in her family’s small manufacturing business and is a former small business owner.
Janell received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in accounting from Southern Arkansas University. She was honored as the SAU General Business Student of the Year in 2011.
Kristen Cribb, Business Consultant joined the Southern Arkansas University ASBTDC in April 2017. She received her B.S.B.A. in Finance-Entrepreneurship and her Master of Business Administration in Social Entrepreneurship from the Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University.Kristen is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional with emphasis on Business Credit Analysis (EDFP-BCA). She works with future and current business owners to strengthen their skills through various training and development events.
Prior to joining the ASBTDC, Kristen assisted with market research and other consulting projects as the center’s graduate assistant. During collegiate years, she held many key leadership roles, including the Business Student Advisory Council, Business Student Investment Advisory Council, and as served as the Resident Director of Harrod Hall. She was honored by the Rankin College of Business for Outstanding Academic Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship.
