Course Development Process
Our goals in the course development process are to keep the design of the course student-focused and match the faculty’s preferred teaching style. Here is a brief overview of our process:
By collaborating with Online Learning to develop or redesign your online course, you can expect the following:

Quality Matters – Applying the QM Rubric Workshop
One way Online Learning helps faculty prepare to teach online is by providing all faculty the opportunity to complete Quality Matters Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) online workshop.
This two-week workshop helps faculty get familiarized with the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric, which was initially developed by online faculty from across the United States. Now, QM is internationally recognized and continues to improve its standards based on best-practices and research in online education.
Please contact Drew Glover (drewglover@saumag.edu), SAU Quality Matters Coordinator, for more information about this workshop or Quality Matters at SAU.
*Completion of this workshop is required within the faculty’s first year of teaching online at SAU.
