The Department of Teacher Education offers programs leading to teacher licensure in the state of Arkansas.
- Bachelor of Science in Education: Early Childhood Education with certification in grades P-4
- Bachelor of Science in Education: Middle School Education with certification in grades 4-8
- Minor in Education with certification in grades 7-12 for specific content areas
The Teacher Education programs at SAU have a long history of preparing teachers and are accredited by the National council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
