Rental Information
SAU Student Organizations, Departments and Colleges:
Officially recognized student organizations and SAU departments and colleges can reserve the Mule Barn (formerly Rider Rink) for events that are open only to current SAU students or employees free of charge. For any events open to people outside the University community or events for which an entry fee is required, the following fee schedule applies:
- Rent – $100
- Use of DJ and sound equipment – $75
- Deposit – $50 (deposit will be returned if the building is clean and no damage occurs)
Rental to the General Public:
The Mule Barn is also available to the general public to accommodate events and functions. As these events are private, the facility will only be open to the hosts and invited guests.
- Rent – $125 (for a 2 hour period, renters may be allowed to decorate outside the reservation period if there are no scheduling conflicts; rent will be $100 per each additional 2 hours period)
- Use of DJ and sound equipment – $75
- Table, chair, & stage set-up – $100
- Non-refundable Deposit – %50 total cost of you event

Lock-ins:
- Rent – $425 (for an 8 hour period). The renting organization/group must provide sufficient adult supervision for the lock-in.
- Use of DJ and sound equipment – $75
- Non-refundable Deposit – %50 total cost of you event
Youth Birthday Parties:
The Mule Barn can be rented for youth (age 16 or younger) birthday parties. Parties are held during the normal hours of operation on Saturday from 1pm-8pm. We are able to accommodate more than one party at a time. The following fee schedule applies for youth birthday parties:

Security
The Dean of Students and/or the Chief of University Police will determine if security is necessary for any events to be held in the Mule Barn. If it is determined that security is required for an event, the renting party must make arrangements with the UPD to have the recommended number of officers at the event. There will be an extra charge for security.
