Madison: Comfy misfits.

Ashlyn: Total Tapestry! We loved the tapestry look our freshman year and got one to hang. The next year we had pillows made for our chairs and they happened to go with the mandala tapestry material by chance. This past year we accumulated our bed throws. All three pieces match unintentionally but we are loving that they do!! 

Madison: We wanted something cute, but not typical. Anyone can buy the “Pinterest” perfect room. We just attempted to make it our own without breaking the bank. 

Ashlyn: Over the past 4 years we have slowly accumulated everything. Many of the pieces I have are from home, my family, and/or my sweet friends. So most of what I have decorated with is meant to make me feel close to those three things!

Madison: Most decorative items in our room came from Hobby Lobby or were DIY!

Ashlyn:  I have slowly accumulated different pieces over the years as well as being gifted a few. Most of the pieces on the wall are from Hobby Lobby, the rug is from Home Depot, the tapestry is from Amazon and the bookshelves along with the chairs are a Walmart exclusive!

Madison: The carpet or tapestry are tied for my favorites. I feel both of these things are what make our room feel different, cozy. 

Ashlyn: My favorite item is our shag rug! It’s so easy to make myself comfy on the floor when studying in my chair gets too unbearable. Also, a rug changes the whole atmosphere of a space and it makes it feel more like home.
