Are there any ACT requirements to become a member of the Residential College?
Yes, to be eligible for the Residential College you must have a composite ACT score of 22.
Do I have to enroll in Residential College courses?
Yes, Residential College courses are essential to the program. The Advising Center will help you create your schedule with this in mind.
Do I have to live on campus to be in Residential College?
Yes, the Residential College is a living/learning community. Students must live in East Hall.
How many people are in the Residential College?
Each fall we invite 82 freshmen to be a part of the Residential College. At least sixteen students are selected from each of the academic colleges (College of Business, College of Education, College of Liberal and Performing Arts, and College of Science and Technology). At least sixteen “Undecided” majors will also be selected out of those students who have not declared an academic major.
If someone is selected but is unable to be a part of the program in the fall, will an alternate be selected to take his/her place?
Yes, alternates will be selected and notified for each of the colleges and Undecided majors.
If I apply for the Residential College, do I still need to complete a Housing form?
Yes, this form and $50 deposit are necessary to reserve your residence hall room.
Is there a cost to participate in the Residential College?
Yes, there is a one time program fee of $50 that will be due after you have been selected to become a part of the Residential College. This is separate from the housing deposit.
