About
Mallory Hall (formerly University Hall) is a co-ed residence for upper-class students. Mallory Hall is named to honor Dr. Kathleen Jordan Mallory who dedicated herself to community, academics, equality and making everyone feel at home.
Mallory Hall has fully furnished, suite-style units with private living room, bathroom and kitchenette shared by the four residents in two bedroom within the suite. Residents have access to all perks in the University Village complex, including a clubhouse, pool, laundry facility, student lounge, and easy access to Panda Express. Residents of Mallory Hall may choose between Living Learning Communities of Helping Hands LLC or SOAR (Sophomore Opportunities Achievement Recognition) LLC. Mallory Hall is also the home for several athletic teams such as Golf, Basketball, Softball, Football and Cheer.
Community service is a central focus of Southern Arkansas University. Students will have the opportunity to be involved with Making Magnolia Blossom as well as many non-profit organizations in our community.
SOAR (Sophomore Opportunities, Achievement, and Recognition) is a living learning community that is designed for second-year students who want to stay connected with SAU through service learning and recognition. Availability for this living learning community will be on a first-come first-served basis.
