Bussey Hall is a three-story brick structure built in 1949-1950 as a girl’s dormitory, a function it still performs today. It is roughly U-shaped with the main entrance sheltered by a three-story portico with triangular gable pediment supported by round columns. It is named for Mrs. Carol Bussey, the school dietitian and dining hall director 1913-1956. Bussey Hall is the home to our female sports teams as well as our First Year Experience Living Learning Community. It has luxury vinyl floors throughout, with a computer lab, laundry room, and lobby area on the first floor.
Many students come to college their first semester and are unsure of what to expect, where to go, and who to ask for help. The First Year Experience (FYE) has been created to help you find your place at SAU.
