The Intern will be assigned to one of several functional areas within the Goodwill system. Some of these functional areas include Human Resources, Performance Excellence, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Logistics, and Training. The incumbent will assist in organizational shadowing & learning, and serving as an asset for any internal programs Goodwill may have involving adult education and/or job skill training. This internship puts the individual right into day-to-day business and projects from the start and gives them responsibility as quickly as possible. Specific training and support from a designated team leader will help to build on the Intern’s professional and personal skills and prepare them for their subsequent career.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper execution of functional and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Support the designated manager and the team in management tasks.
- Will interact fluently and with customers and coworkers handling an array of activities including but not limited to: analyze programs, generate reports, answer phones, scheduling, filing, scanning, mailing, and much more.
- May assist marketing and business development staff with managing donor relationships, tracking and monitoring project progress, developing project work plans, and coordinating the design, production, and writing of marketing materials. This position also requires the ability to complete substantial amounts of research.
- Assist in the production and preparation of press releases, newsletter, marketing brochures, direct mail, email and social media.
- Respond to and serve Goodwill staff and customers in a positive and energetic manner.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
