Overview
The role of the Online Education Committee is to address online education challenges and opportunities at SAU. The Committee strives to:
- Recommend institutional guidelines to ensure quality in online courses
- Organize ongoing support and assistance for online faculty and students
- Explore emerging technologies to support teaching and learning.
Membership
The SAU President appoints members annually, and current members can be identified online. Committee membership is filled to meet the following criteria:
Voting Members
- Committee Chair, appointed by the President from the committee membership;
- Faculty Teaching Online, eight (8), two (2) from each college;
- Academic Dean, one (1) appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs,
- Director of Institutional Effectiveness
- Students, two (2)

- Blackboard System Administrator
- Faculty Senator
