At Southern Arkansas University, we are committed to meeting the diverse needs of our learners by creating inclusive, accessible learning environments. As part of this commitment, SAU is actively preparing to meet the requirements of the updated Title II regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which go into effect in April 2026.
These new federal standards require state and local institutions—including public universities—to ensure that web content and mobile applications meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This means making digital materials easier for all users to navigate, read, and interact with, including those who use assistive technologies.
By aligning with these standards, SAU prioritizes equitable access and high-quality learning experiences for every student.
