About Bussey Hall

Bussey Hall a is a three-story, brick structure all-female residence hall.  It is roughly U-shaped with the main entrance sheltered by a three-story portico and triangular gable pediment supported by round columns.  Bussey Hall has some of the largest, double rooms on-campus with a sink in the room. It has luxury vinyl floors throughout with a computer lab, laundry room, and lobby area on the first floor. Each floor has two semi-private bathrooms that allow privacy within the common bath area. It is named for Mrs. Carol Bussey, the school dietitian and dining hall director 1913-1956.

Renovations were made in the Summer of 2021 with a historical grant. Each room now has ceiling fans, updated vanity area and new built in-dressers. The 2nd and 3rd floors also have a new kitchenette with ovens for resident use.

Bussey Hall is the home for Living Learning Communities (LLC) of Health and Fitness, Studiers Unite, First Year Experience and houses several of the female sports teams. The first floor resident rooms are specifically dedicated as 24 hour quiet areas for studying and our Studiers Unite LLC participants. Bussey Hall is located in a centralized area on campus with easy walking time to many facilities and classrooms.
