Students may want to take one or more courses for a variety of reasons including personal enrichment, professional knowledge, or renewal of a current teacher license. Non-degree status permits students to register for classes without being admitted to a particular program of study. At departmental request a maximum of 6 (six) hours taken as a non-degree student may be applied to a graduate degree or program. A non-degree graduate student becomes a regular degree or program seeking student by applying and meeting admission requirements to the School of Graduate Studies and to the particular program.
