Commuter students who desire an on-campus post office box should contact SAU Mail Services for more information regarding fees associated with this service. On-campus residents are advised to have a campus post office box. These boxes are assigned during the registration process.
Students will be allowed to retain the post office box number assigned to them until they have graduated or until they are no longer enrolled at the University.
Students may keep the same post office box number during the summer if they will be returning for fall classes and they return their key and turn in a temporary forwarding address – even though they may not be enrolled in summer school. Keys will be reissued to students upon their return to campus. Proof of identity must be presented to obtain their keys.
A fee will be charged for any key lost or not returned to SAU Mail Services. The current fee is $20.
Students are asked to check and empty their post office boxes regularly.
After a campus post office box is permanently closed, forwarding service will be provided for one year.
University Village residents must see the University Village manager to obtain a key card request form and take it to SAU Mail Services to receive a mail box key.
The key must be returned to SAU Mail Services and a forwarding card must be completed when the resident changes addresses. University Village mail is delivered by the Magnolia Post Office and does not pass through SAU Mail Services, so a forwarding card is very important to ensure the student receives their mail.
Large packages or mail delivered from FedEx, DHL or UPS will be left at SAU Mail Services and must be picked up there. Residents are required to provide proof of identity to pick up their packages.
