SPS is a professional association explicitly designed for students; our ultimate goal is to promote the study and dissemination of physics. Our immediate goal is to have all undergraduate students who are interested in physics/engineering actively participate in SPS. SPS provides outreach services to the campus and local communities in order to make everyone more aware of the role of physics in our world. Through various in-class demonstrations and science fair activities, SPS strives to engage and captures students’ interest in science. The Engineering & SPS club holds biweekly pizza lunch meetings between all physics/engineering students and faculty. The organization keeps its members aware of undergraduate research opportunities either locally or via national summer internships, and provides up to date information on graduate school career paths and the mechanics of securing graduate fellowships.
