About Baja SAE
Baja SAE is a collegiate design competition where teams design, build, and race single-seat off-road vehicles. Over 100 teams worldwide compete annually in events that test design, cost analysis, and performance in areas like acceleration, suspension, and traction. The highlight is a four-hour endurance race, where teams must repair their vehicles on the spot to stay in the race.
