The ASME student chapter at SAU aims to provide mechanical engineering and other related engineering students with opportunities to engage in a wide range of activities both within SAU and with other universities. The major interests of this group are:
- Compete in ASME poster and design competitions
- Attend conferences and learn about advance research in mechanical engineering and interconnected fields
- Organize activities in local schools to educate students about STEM and the impact of it on a society
- Nurture diversity and inclusion

Upcoming Events
- October 2024: Subodh Bhujel, a Mechanical Engineer at Heat Exchanger Design Inc., is expected to make a presentation on common practices and standards on heat exchanger design.
- November 2024: The students plan to visit Magnolia High School to show their projects
