mySAU

- Step 1: Go to this link: https://wamp.saumag.edu/portal/account_display.php
- Step 2: Enter your Last Name, First Name, Last 4 numbers of your social security number, and birthday
- Step 3: Click “Display My Login Information”
- Step 4: Write down your username, student ID number, and SAU student email.
- Step 5: Go to this link to reset your password: https://wamp.saumag.edu/portal/account_reset.php
- Step 6: Enter the requested information, including the new password you are creating. You will use the same username every time you log into your MySAU account, SAU student email, and Blackboard.
- Step 7: Set up your cell phone number for additional cybersecurity measures required by the university. After you log in to mySAU by entering the above information, you can access the following programs without having to log in to these separate programs.
Blackboard – Online Class Central Hub
- If this is your first time taking a hybrid or online course at SAU, you will need to successfully complete the Online Student Orientation in the Virtual Student Center on Blackboard before you are able to access your courses. Upon completion of the Orientation, your courses should be available in approximately one hour.
- You need to check Blackboard at least once a day to ensure you are keeping updated on assignments, discussion board questions, and deadlines.
Tutoring
The Academic Enrichment Center is another resource to ensure your academic success. As a concurrent student, you can access our academic enrichment center and tutors. You can also use our online tutoring program, Net Tutor, which can be found on MYSAU.
Make sure you give the following information:
- Course Name
- Course Instructor
- SAU ID# (this can be found on your MySau under CampusConnect portal)
Net-tutor
NetTutor (free chat with a professional tutor) can be accessed from your Blackboard course. Click on the Tools tab, and look for the NetTutor icon. Check the schedule with many subjects, and help is offered 24/7.
Mulerider Student Email
- Your online class instructors will communicate with you via your SAU student email. They will not communicate with your personal or high school email address. Check your SAU email regularly.
Magale Library Resources
- The Magale Library tab will give you access to all the library services. You can click the “Electronic Resources” tab for online periodicals, databases, and more.
- The “Online and Distance Student Resources and Services” will give you an array of information. The following video tutorials are suggested for new students:
- Determining a Resource’s Quality
- Using Turnitin within Blackboard
- Citing Resources
- Linking to Magale Library’s Electronic Resources
- How to find books, videos, magazines, and other materials within Magale Library (suggested for local students)
- How to find e-books, e-articles, videos, and other materials within Magale’s Electronic Collections (suggested for distance students)
- Reference and Research Support Contact – You can email a library staff member for assistance by submitting the web form on Magale’s main page.

Other Resources
- Disability Support Services
- For our Concurrent students who may need accommodations, they can reach out to our DSS office on campus to discuss what accommodations would be needed. We aim to assist our students by providing the usability and accessibility necessary to succeed in their courses as college students. These resources could include extended time, closed captioning, and other testing accommodations.

- Counseling
- Many of our students may need to seek counseling throughout their time as a student. Our counseling services are free and confidential and available to our Concurrent students. You can call or email them to schedule a face-to-face, phone, or virtual appointment.
- Net-Tutor
- NetTutor (free chat with a professional tutor) can be accessed from your Blackboard course. Click on the Tools tab, and look for the NetTutor icon. Check the schedule with many subjects, and help is offered 24/7.
- Magale Library
- You can access Magale Library’s video tutorials, research assistance, online databases, periodicals, etc. In your courses, there will be resources needed that are not available in the School Library. You will need to research scholarly databases and periodicals to complete your research. Del Duke, Director of Magale Library, has uploaded many videos on locating academic resources, searching various databases, and much more. Please take note of the “HELP” and “Ask a Librarian” section on the top right side.
- Writing Center
- The SAU Writing Center is a full-time, on-campus, student-centered facility designed to encourage peer interaction, to establish writing as a multi-disciplinary goal, and to support the idea that writing enhances learning. It offers students from all backgrounds and disciplines the opportunity to confer at any stage of the writing process with trained writing consultants. We encourage all of our concurrent students to utilize the Writing Center for their writing assignments and projects.
- The writing center accepts online submissions. If you submit between Sunday at noon and Thursday before noon, they will be able to give feedback within 24 hours, and sometimes the same day. Submissions received Thursday afternoon and later will be returned the following Monday.Must have the instructor’s name, course name, and SAU ID number.
