- The SAU STEM Center for k-12 Education will promote the enrichment of knowledge and teaching in mathematics, science and technology by creating services and resources for teachers, administrators, and students while linking public schools with higher education, businesses and cooperatives for the future.
- Support high quality mathematics, science, and technology education in the state.
- Provide professional development opportunities for classroom teachers and administrators.
- Serve as a resource for math, science and technology materials and support.
- Assist schools in curriculum, instruction, assessment improvements, and reform.
- Promote collaboration and coordination of activities with school districts and cooperatives.
- Strengthen the skills and preparation of pre-service teachers.
- Coordinate with ADE and the ERZ on school improvement efforts.
- Host Southwest Arkansas Regional Science Fair held each March for grades 3-12. We are an International Science and Engineering Fair Affiliate.
