Cinda Hallman Scholarship
- Criteria: Female Students, majoring in the College of Science and Technology
- Two scholarship awards of $17,000 annually for a student with a 26 + ACT score
- Preference to be given to students from 1) Arkansas, 2) surrounding states, and 3) U.S. citizens
- Completed Scholarship Application

GenCorp Foundation Scholarship
A $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to a mechanical engineering student during 2014-2015 academic year. The scholarship has been made possible by GenCorp Foundation; GenCorp is an aerospace and defense company based in at Camden Arkansas. Here are additional info and requirements:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
- Preference given to female or minority student, but can be awarded to other student if there are no female or minority applicants.
- Student to provide evidence of financial need and write an essay – 2 pages max
- Can be for any class level, freshman to senior.
- Student must apply at the SAU Foundation website
either apply online or fill out the form and send to foundation.
Lowrance and Marilyn Hodge Engineering Scholarship
- Criteria: A pre-engineering student
- Essay on why the applicant deserves the award
- Completed Scholarship Application
- Apply: SAU Foundation
- Awarded by: SAU Foundation Scholarship Committee
Women in Engineering Scholarship
We have a one-time gift of $15,000 to be used for scholarships for women in the engineering program who can demonstrate financial need. Depending on the number of applicants, the above amounts can be used for one student or for several students, for one semester, one year or four years; starting in 2014-2015. Here are additional requirements:
- To be awarded to women majoring in engineering, freshman to senior.
- Can be US citizen or international student.
- Student to provide evidence of financial need and write an essay – 2 pages max
- The awarded amount may be apportioned from one to four years as needed or used all at once.
- Student must apply at the SAU Foundation website
- Awardees expected to write a thank you note to the donors and file it with SAU foundation before funds are released.
