The Staff Senate met on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2:01 p.m. in Reynolds 205. Senators in attendance were Brad Stout, Deana Taylor, Britta Clark, Jodie Westfall, Jake Dunham, Laura Wilkerson, Julia Nipper, Sarah Adcox, Mary Bradshaw,Michael Westbrook, Stephanie Manning, Melody Mayo

Call to Order: 2:01 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
November 18, 2015 Minutes. Motion was made by Jodie Westfall to approve minutes, second made by Jake Dunham.
Motion carried.
Old Business
Action Project-Discussed parking spot for Staff. Brad will check further into the spot and will report back via email or at our next meeting.
* Next meeting: Plan to discuss qualifications and selection, where will they go, etc.
*Also, brainstorm names for this action project
Committee Report
Data Action Project 2 (Deana Taylor)- Still working to collect the data for reports. More information to come soon.
Making Magnolia Blossom-Next date will be April 2nd, more info to come
New Business
Staff Breakfast-Academic Affairs (Staff Senators heading up: Jodie Westfall, Julia Nipper, & Melody Mayo)
*Tentative date set for Thursday, March 17th-Brad will confirm with Administration.
Other
Staff Updates-More than 4,000 schedules have been saved and locked as of today. Jake reminded senate of drop date and reinstatement fees. Enrollment looking well!
New Hires- Sarah Craig (Admissions, Satelite recruiter), Benson Jordan (Football Coach & Strength and Conditioning for athletics), Brittany Griffin (Volleyball Head Coach).
Faculty that have resigned: Marla Strecker & Louis Roy

The motion to adjourn was made by Sarah Adcox with a second by Laura Wilkerson. The next Staff Senate meeting will be Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Reynolds 205.
