The Staff Senate met on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Reynolds 205. Senators in attendance were Cynthia Blake, Ceil Bridges, Gaye Calhoun, Kendra Copeland, LaTricia Davis, Brenda Garrett, Charles Honza, Essie Moore, Eric Plummer, Shawana Reed, Becki Talley, Houston Taylor, and Donald Wray. Visitors included Jeremy Langley.
Approval of Minutes
The meeting was called to order by Eric Plummer. Donald Wray made a motion to accept the minutes with a second by LaTricia Davis.
Old Business
Staff Senate Elections
Houston Taylor noted that the staff senate elections should be completed by the June staff senate meeting.
Committee Reports
There were no committee reports
New Business
Seating of New Members and Officers
Due to the elections of new members being delayed until June, the seating of the new members and officers will be tabled until the June meeting.
There was a discussion about what to do if the Vice President/President elect’s term ends and that person is not re-elected to serve on the staff senate for the next term. There were options discussed, but no decision was made. This will be discussed at a future meeting.

The motion to adjourn was made by Gaye Calhoun and seconded by LaTricia Davis. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
