The Support Staff works under the general direction of the Administrator of Columbia County Independent Living Inc.
Responsibilities:
- Will be knowledgeable and adhere to CCIL policy/procedure, DDS policy/standards, and DHS policy, client charts, and treatment plans
- Will be responsible for acquiring annual training hours, CPR, First Aid, TB/health cards, and other requirements for maintaining employment
- To teach, guide, and assist residents in day-to-day living activities and in learning objectives and techniques
- To supervise resident behavior and conduct
- To encourage group decision making with respect to household and interpersonal matters; work as a team
- To inform other staff of the home of residents needs
- To keep records and make reports as required, such as but not limited to collecting data for client goals, behavior plans, health issues, and independent living skills
- To provide transportation
- To foster and maintain good relations with support persons, day programs, other agencies, neighbors, community and family
- To be able to lift 20-40 lbs.
- To perform any other task assigned by Director which will benefit residents and/or program
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma and experience with mentally handicapped women in a residential living facility.
- Must have a valid drivers license and pass Adult and Child Maltreatment Background Checks and Arkansas Background check.
