The Saddle Up & Serve program at Southern Arkansas University is a transformative AmeriCorps+EngageAR service initiative that empowers students to make a meaningful impact in the areas of healthy futures, education, and economic opportunity.

With service members placed across campus and community sites, our program supports:
- Healthy Futures – Increasing food security, promoting nutrition, and expanding access to resources.
- Education – Enhancing literacy, after-school programs, and educational access for K-12 students.
- Economic Opportunity – Building career readiness, financial literacy, and workforce development programs

Saddle Up & Serve members serve across a variety of impactful sites including:
- Healthy Futures – Mulerider Market, Community Garden, Campus Recycling, Rider Recovery program
- Educational Programs – Magnolia Arts Center, Columbia County Library, Magnolia Housing Authority
