Under the supervision and direction of the Program Coordinator or Clinical Director and Outpatient Administrator, the outpatient therapist will provide direct mental health services to the clients and families of Methodist Family Health (MFH) in a clinic and/or school-based and community setting. The clientele includes children, adolescents, adults (clinic only) and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services that include, but are not limited to, diagnostic assessment, individual, family, and group therapies, and crisis intervention. These services will be provided in a clinic setting, school setting, but may also include community-based settings as needed and appropriate, including meeting HIPAA standards (i.e., client’s home, courts, Boys & Girls Club, etc.)
- Develop treatment plans in cooperation with clients, families and treatment team members and perform reviews/updates specific to organization policies and procedures, state and federal regulations.
- Participate in departmental and program treatment team meetings, staff meetings, trainings and supervision.
- Work with administrative support and utilization review staff to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing authorizations for services, and transfers/discharges.
- Complete all clinical and administrative processes, including documentation, in compliance with organization, department and program policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations (Medicaid, Joint Commission, insurance, etc.) as it relates to content and timeframes for assessments, treatment plans and review, progress notes, services provided, billing, meeting direct care expectations, etc.
- Provide timely communication verbally and in writing with supervisor, colleagues, clients, families, schools, courts, other professionals within and outside the organization, etc. This includes returning phone calls, writing letters, emails, etc.
- Work with other professionals and programs within the MFH continuum of care and/or other
- outside organizations and agencies to coordinate the best and most appropriate treatment for
- MFH clients including transfers and referrals to other programs or agencies as needed.
- Assist in preparation for, and help to maintain compliance with state and federal licensing and
- accreditation regulations (i.e. Medicaid, Joint Commission, Dept. of Human Services, Dept. of
- Health, etc.) as appropriate and needed.
- Maintain professional licensure by completing required continuing education and providing copies of updated license and CEU certificates to Human Resources.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
- Licensed, in good standing, by Arkansas Professional Board as an LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LPE, LPE-I, PhD
