Kanakuk Kamps is seeking to hire a marketing intern for the summer of 2026. This is a seasonal member of the marketing department which consists of the Executive Marketing Director, Multimedia Director, Creative Content Manager, Graphic Designers, Video Editor, Digital Content Specialist, Web and App Specialist, and Marketing Coordinator.
The Marketing Intern performs under the general direction of the Multimedia Director and Marketing Coordinator. This role provides a great opportunity to develop skills for working at an advertising agency and within a marketing department. They may also interact with company leadership and executives, and will be expected to present themselves in a professional manner. They should be detail-oriented, adaptable to changing tasks, and able to work seamlessly as part of the Marketing Department. The Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing Coordinator with the goal of serving Kanakuk during summer. Additionally, they will serve the Multimedia Director and Digital Content Specialist with the goal of representing the Kanakuk family of products and ministries to Kampers, families, summer staff, and Donors across all online platforms/channels, in alignment with established branding and voice to ensure a consistent and engaging premium experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing Coordinator in overseeing the summer Re-Enroll program.
- Help coordinate delivery of programming collateral to individual Kamps.
- Assist in daily photo vetting and publishing of Summer Action photos.
- Assist Customer Care team in updating Kamper information and other admin tasks.
- Collaborate on a communication plan for Kamp families with children at Kamp.
- Support Digital Marketing efforts on 20+ social media accounts.
- Conduct market research on a request/project basis.
- Support Marketing Coordinator in serving Day Kamp and Family Kamp in requested needs.
- Oversee and organize all marketing materials that are used and stored in Branson warehouse.
- Highlight pages on main website that are known to have errors or outdated information and catalog the changes for review.
- Assist in the management of online video and photo libraries.
- Take photos and Video of events.
- Edit videos for use on social media
- Assist in the choosing of high-quality visuals from the summer for use across marketing channels.
Qualifications:
- Organization and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem solving skills, and ability to analyze and strategize in projects.
- Knowledgeable of Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, YouTube, and other social platforms.
- Knowledgeable of Adobe CC including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with web based tools.
