The Arkansas Department of Transportation is seeking to hire an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026. Under immediate supervision, this position is responsible for learning and assisting in engineering tasks as required within various Divisions and Districts of the Department.

Qualifications:

• Student pursuing the educational equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering from an EAC of ABET accredited college or university, completion of 30 college hours toward this degree, and a cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
• Ability to apply basic engineering formulas to routine calculations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Detail oriented.
• Valid drivers license.
