J.B. Hunt is seeking to hire a Customer Experience Intern for the Summer of 2026. Under close supervision, this position will gain hands-on experience providing an exceptional customer experience. This role learns to embody a customer-centric focus and partner with internal teams to provide timely communication and a high-quality experience. This role will gain exposure to operational workflows, relationship management, and technology integration within a transportation setting.
Responsibilities:
- Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry
- Work with a managed client base to continuously improve shipment operations, such as automated tracking, online booking/shipment management, communication on accessorials, and offering solutions based on shipping patterns and needs
- Build an understanding of operational considerations (capacity, seasonality, pricing, etc.), key performance indicators, and customer needs that influence freight movement, growth opportunities, and customer interactions
- Observe and practice account management strategies through understanding J.B. Hunt service offerings, market impacts, and scorecards to be able to identify correlated solutions J.B. Hunt can provide
- Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows and enable customer access to order management
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
