Congressman Westerman offers internships in the Fourth District’s Washington, DC office. The intern program will operate throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for students. The internship is paid, and students will gain invaluable work experience.
In Washington, DC, intern responsibilities will vary. Interns will interact with constituents, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, answer constituent letters on various issues before the House, and other work to support the Member’s office. As a result, interns will learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.
