The Case Manager is responsible for providing direct support to individuals seeking employment, education, or career advancement through WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) programs. This position involves guiding clients through program eligibility, developing career and training plans, and connecting them with appropriate services and opportunities to support their long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with enrollment into WIOA workforce programs, ensuring eligibility and proper documentation.
- Conduct assessments and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) tailored to each client’s goals.
- Provide career counseling, job readiness coaching, and labor market information to help participants make informed career decisions.
- Refer clients to training programs, educational opportunities, and supportive services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes, records, and documentation in compliance with WIOA regulations.
- Track participant progress, conduct regular follow-ups, and adjust service strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with local employers, training providers, and community partners to support client outcomes.
- Participate in community outreach events, workshops, and recruitment activities.
- Stay informed of workforce development trends, tools, and policy changes.
- Travel within the service region as needed (daily and overnight travel may be required).
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Development, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience in case management, career counseling, or social services preferred.
- Knowledge of workforce development systems, particularly WIOA, is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple caseloads.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Silver National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred.
