A.I.M. Hire is a subprogram within Career AIM where students can gain the needed skills and familiarity within their career field by earning a connection with established businesses and organizations provided through Career Services. It is a competitive (short-term) training simulation where students have the option to ingest the reality of having a job, and of maintaining professionalism through Micro-Internships.
The goal of this program is to create more opportunities for students in their respected line of work while also engaging and expanding the outreach of the Mulerider family to welcome new relationships with future partners.
INTERNSHIPS VS. MICRO-INTERNSHIP? Internships are a staple requirement for most job evaluations just at the peak of entry-level and beyond. They are defined as the position of a student or trainee who works in an organization, sometimes without pay, in order to gain work experience or satisfy requirements for a qualification. Unlike a traditional internship, Micro-Internships are part-time, paid, assignments that are set up in a significantly shorter time period. This means that more students can be hired at a faster rate while effectively testing their skills on a new level that they may never have otherwise.
