STEP I:
Apply for Admission to Southern Arkansas University
A. SAU Admission Applications
B. Submit all official transcripts
STEP 2:
Apply for Student Federal Aid
- Electronic – Student may complete the application and submit it directly to the processing center electronically at StudentAid.gov. SAU’s school code is 001107.
- Paper – Students may obtain a paper FAFSA by calling 1-800-4FEDAID. Once the FAFSA has been completed, it must be mailed to the FAFSA processor.
STEP 3:
Apply for military education benefits
A. Review your options for the military education benefits and apply online at www.va.gov/education.
B. Once approved, you will receive a Certificate of Eligibility by mail, which you should forward to the Office of the Registrar for verification. It can either be scanned and sent by email to va@saumag.edu or brought in person to the Registrar’s Office in Nelson 102 between 9a.m.-4p.m. Monday-Friday.
C. To request verification of your course schedule to receive your VA benefits, you should log into your CampusConnect account and go to Student Dashboard -> Forms -> VA Certification Request. All VA students must submit this online VA Certification Request form before EVERY semester in which they want to use their VA benefits.
D. Complete the VA Certification Form
