MILLER’S ANALOGY TEST (MAT)
Scores from the MAT or alternate test, GRE, are required for admission to Southern Arkansas University’s Graduate Studies Program. The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies.
Paper/Pencil-Based
The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. Additional time is required to fill out personal information for reporting score results. The paper-pencil version is administered only on an as-needed basis.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The CBT-MAT consists of 120 partial analogies to be completed in 60 minutes. Additional time is required to fill out personal information for reporting score results.
The MAT fee is $65.00.
Registration Procedures
Registration is required. Examinees should call the Testing Center at (870) 235-4145 or come by Reynolds 216 to register. All examinees that have taken the Miller Analogy Test within the past year must bring their Retest Ticket.
Scores
The test fee includes one personal score report and up to three score recipients specified when you take the MAT.
Answer documents are scored electronically by the Psychological Corporation. Examinees should receive their score reports in two to three weeks for the paper-pencil version. CBT (computer based) test takers will know the results immediately after testing. The official score will be mailed within two weeks.
