Duties: Coordinate all aspects of development related programs, services, scheduling and/or fundraisers; work closely with development staff to manage fundraising efforts; prepare itineraries and make travel arrangements for those involved in development programs/services; prepare donor profiles, proposals, and marketing materials for development staff; input contact reports, notes, and follow-up actions with prospects; create and maintain records of prospects, contacts, and constituents; make calls and schedule meeting/appointments for development staff with alumni and friends; identify, screen and recommend individuals, corporations, and foundations which qualify as prospects; prospect research; night and weekend work required; travel required and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in public relations and general office operations required; demonstrate a strong belief in SAU’s mission; possess a strong work ethic; demonstrate attention to detail; have proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience working with a database; commitment to high ethical standards.
