Duties: Assist with general office management and operations of the department and provide general support for the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs; coordinate in planning and preparation of various meetings and events for Academic Affairs; schedule and calendar support for the provost; prepare documents, reports, and correspondence; assist with budgets, purchasing and travel; manage records and supporting accreditation efforts; notify students of academic progress; prepare and/or coordinate reports to university, state and federal government entities; provide support as needed to faculty, staff and students, and supervise student workers and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher preferred; must have three years recent experience in an office environment; strong organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and operation of basic office equipment, computer and software programs; comprehend spoken and written instruction; maintain confidentiality; supervision, management, and organizational skills required; online purchasing and Internet usage; ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience supervising others in an office environment. This person must be self-motivated.
