Duties: Manage and perform all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and financial systems; Prepare and present financial reports to the VPA/ED and Board of Governors, providing analysis and recommendations, as needed; Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and other reporting requirements; Assist in managing relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and other financial service providers; Manage the annual distribution from the endowment ensure proper allocation and notice is provided to the recipients; Accepts gifts on behalf of the Foundation and consults with the appropriate Foundation committees; Provides a management and reporting system for the Charitable Gift Annuity Program that ensures that it meets all standards and SAU Foundation Policy; Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget process; Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long-term financial planning and decision-making; Assist the Audit, Governance, and Investment committees, collaborating with other committee members to provide financial reports and other support; Collaborates closely with the Office of Financial Services to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all financial transactions; Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and professional development; Assists advancement unit in all fundraising efforts to support the SAU’s and SAUF’s strategic plans. Specifically, database management; donor acknowledgement and communication; Report on the financial performance of the organization to the Board of Directors, including regular updates on budget performance, forecasts, and financial risks and opportunities; Tax Filing and Compliance; Oversee all tax filings and compliance requirements, ensuring that the organization follows all relevant laws and regulations; Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial service providers to ensure compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirements and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred; Experience in Advancement; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
