Southern Arkansas University invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant, and/or Associate Professor of Mathematics, within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, of the fastest growing departments in the college. Duties: teach freshmen to upper-level undergraduate Mathematics courses; teach in the applicant’s area of expertise (all fields of Mathematics are welcome); supervise undergraduate research projects; serve on committees; perform scholarly activity; engage in recruitment, retention, advising of students and student’s club and other duties assigned.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics required by time of employment; expertise in Mathematics and demonstrate an ability to teach undergraduate students; excellent communication skills, ability to work well with people, and a strong desire to interact with students both in the classroom and undergraduate research projects; must have a strong interest in student activities; commitment to professional development.
