Duties: audit student degree plans and notify advisors and students of potential graduation requirement deficiencies; verify academic standing and honors eligibility and assist with end-of-term processes; plan and execute University commencement ceremonies in spring, summer, and fall; enter transfer credit and credits by exam on academic records; assist with administration of Veteran’s Administration benefits; process academic transcript requests; review and process requests such as reinstatements, drops, withdrawals, course overloads, and grade changes; provide students, faculty and staff for processes and software used by the Office of Registrar; provide University constituents with accurate information to resolve issues/problems and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work in higher education administration or related field required; minimum five years of experience in higher education, including three years in advising, registration, records management, or related area required; Master’s degree preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required; experience with student records systems such as POISE/J1 and other database software used in the Office of Registrar preferred; demonstration of excellent written and verbal skills, ability to compile information into report form, and ability to keep accurate records and appropriately interpret institutional policy required.
