Duties: Assist with the strategic development, execution, and management of major gift action plans toward the achievement of Advancement goals and objectives in accordance with the vision, mission, goals, and core values of the university; work closely with university deans, directors, and all other areas on fundraising initiatives that align with a strategy for Major Gifts; manage comprehensive solicitation strategies and portfolio of prospects, including personal solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of gifts for 150 or more major gift level prospects ($10,000+level); secure, plan, and engage in face-to-face, zoom, or phone donor visits to complete a minimum of 180 visits per year, 48 of those being solicitations, and the rest comprising of qualification, cultivation, and stewardship visits; undertake special assignments on behalf of the University as requested; serve as a member of the leadership team in overseeing campaign structure and reporting; maintain best practices, engage participation from volunteers and staff, and generate excitement and energy for the mission and programs of the University; willingness to travel 70 percent of the time, which may include weekends is required and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 1-3 years of experience in major donor and gift solicitation or an equivalent combination of related experience; experience in higher education fundraising; commitment to high ethical standards; excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and listening skills; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience in higher education fundraising; proficiency in CRM systems such as Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge NXT, ResearchPoint, Thankview, and LiveAlumni; ability and comfort working in an environment that places a strong emphasis on established goals, metrics, and success; have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel; must have excellent analytical, organization.
