The city of Magnolia, AR, is nestled in a quiet and beautiful part of south Arkansas and is home to the World’s Largest Charcoal Grill and the World Championship Steak Cookoff. Magnolia is known locally for its downtown shopping on the square and for its murals. Magnolia is a great place to raise a family and a short drive from outdoor activities and is central to many regional hubs, such as Texarkana, Shreveport, Little Rock, etc.
Duties: report directly to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs; provide vision and leadership for a thriving community of teachers and scholars; lead in developing and nurturing programs of high academic quality; oversee and maintain the college’s AACSB accreditation; work with business and community leaders, including the RCB Business Advisory Council and the Small Business Development Center; work cooperatively with colleagues on the Deans Council to the Provost in an environment of collegiality and mutual support of SAU’s mission and vision and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: earned doctoral degree in business or a business-related field from an AACSB-accredited university required; direct experience with the AACSB accreditation process, successful administrative experience as department chair, associate dean, or comparable position; a high level of integrity; a record of teaching, service and scholarship consistent with appointment at the level of Associate or Full Professor.
