The David F. Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor of Information Systems position beginning August 2025. Review of Applications will begin January 30, 2025, and continue until the position is filled.
The Rankin College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in on-campus, online, and hybrid modalities.
Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in information systems, data visualization, computer applications, or other courses as needed in a combination of traditional seated and online modalities; advise students; provide service at the college and university level, and other duties as assigned. The candidate will be expected to participate in professional engagement with the business community or actively engage in scholarly activity to maintain faculty qualification status as either Instructional Practitioner (IP) or Scholarly Practitioner (SP) according to our AACSB faculty qualifications policy.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess an appropriate master’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field. Preferred consideration will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience at the college level and professional experience at the time of hire that is current, substantial in terms of duration (normally 3 years) and level of responsibility, and clearly linked to the primary area of teaching responsibility. Experience with SAP is desired, and/or the successful candidate will be expected to participate in SAP training.
